NY Resolution #1: Update

Hello!

I’ve gotten off to a pretty good start on my first New Year’s resolution. Last week, a friend of mine came over and we had a SERIOUS baking party. All of the recipes came from a blog I really like, How Sweet It Is.

We made double chocolate cheesecake cookies, peppermint pattie brownies, peanut butter chocolate chip pretzel bites and oreo balls (we put our own spin on this one and dipped them in Andes’ mint chocolate instead of milk chocolate!)

We had a lot of fun making these and even more fun watching people enjoy them at all of the holiday parties we went to. Maybe even more fun than eating the treats ourselves. Wait, no. Eating them is definitely the best.

Ask and you shall receive: I added cookbooks to my Christmas list, in order to get a jump on my resolution to cook more, and dang, did my family deliver! I got 4 new cookbooks. So needless to say, I’m going to have to have a dinner party in the near future. Don’t mind if I do!

Hope everyone continues to have a great holiday season! xo
