Getting Crafty: a weekend visit to the Renegade Craft Fair

This weekend, my girlfriends and I took a trip to the Renegade Craft Fair in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. It was a gorgeous day, perfect for wandering around from booth to booth, checking out all of the amazing handmade things that artists brought to the fair.

There was a mix of art, vintage clothing, pottery, handmade beauty products, plants, food, you name it. And it all spelled danger for me! I got a lot of great stuff, including an amazing 70s vintage dress that I can’t wait to share on here! There was also a great opportunity to do a mini photo shoot in front of a beautiful mural on the side of an elementary school. Wicker Park is an ideal neighborhood for things like that. Its such an artistic area, you never know what you’re going to find when you turn a corner.

If you haven’t been to the fair, be sure to check it out next winter when it comes back to Chicago in December. But don’t worry –the winter one is indoors 🙂

Special thank you to Katie Illera for her expert photography skillz and for keeping me on track while I was distracted by baby french bulldogs…

  1. Wow! What a mix. I’d love one of those bloody Mary’s! (and the peachy pancake thing) Yum! The girl in front of the mural wall is beautiful !
